IVSとgryphic subset

でさ、同じ時期に両方がサブミットしてるんだったら、正規化に失敗するってのだったら、まあ、しょうがないよね、どうしようかって事になるんだけど、どうもAdobeが字形の一覧をサブミットして公開されたのが2007年で、日本政府系のフォントのは2010年。ということで明らかに日本政府関係がやっちまった感じっぽいんだよね。

そもそもIVSがそういった正規化を重視しているのかなという気がする。何か正規化の基準があるわけでもないし、正規化のプロセスを設けているわけでもないし。

UTS #37でも以下のように書かれてある

While the IVD guarantees that a registered IVS corresponds to a single glyphic subset, and that this association is permanent, it does not guarantee that two different IVSes on the same unified ideograph have non-overlapping or even distinct glyphic subsets.

UTS #37: Unicode Ideographic Variation Database

異なるIVSが同じ(または重複部分のある)gryphic subsetを指しているとは限らないよということである。

Adobeと交渉ぐらいすべきというのはまあ同意ではあるんだけども、正規化の問題は仕様の問題の部分も大きいと思う。

あと、Adobeのグリフと正規化しなかった理由は、公式の文書としては以下のものかな

3.8 Removal of similar glyphs to Adobe Japan 1 collection
A comment requested to remove variation glyphs of Hanyo-Denshi collection that look similar to a variation glyph that has been registered in IVD from Adobe Japan 1 collection, although the comment was unclear why they should be removed. Moreover, the comment did not mention which of the variation glyphs of the draft Hanyo-Denshi registration were considered similar
